Bangkok, collector
"Sent in a mid-1960s dress watch that had been sitting in a drawer since I bought it. The evaluation took about a week — they found a cracked jewel I had no idea about. The condition report was detailed enough that I felt I understood the movement myself by the time I read it. Running within three seconds a day now."

"The case refinishing on my grandfather's Seiko came out better than I expected. I was worried they'd polish away all the character, but they kept the brushed finish on the sides exactly as it was and only addressed the scratches on the polished surfaces. Takes about two hours to drive from Chiang Mai — worth it."

"Brought in an ETA 2824 that had been losing about 20 seconds a day. Turnaround was slightly over the estimated window because they were waiting on a gasket, but they messaged to let me know before the original date passed. The piece came back regulated and the paperwork was thorough. Good experience overall."

"I collect Japanese vintage — mainly Seiko from the 1970s — and finding someone who takes them seriously is not easy. Kasem knows these calibres. He pointed out a modification a previous owner had made that I hadn't noticed, documented it, and asked what I wanted to do before proceeding. That kind of honesty keeps me coming back."

"My daily driver is a 1998 Longines automatic that I bought second-hand five years ago. I assumed it just ran a bit fast — Tockwise found the balance spring was slightly distorted. The condition report explained exactly what that meant and what they did about it. It now runs within a second per day. Very happy."

Pathum Thani, reseller
"I buy and sell watches as a side business and use Tockwise for refinishing before I list pieces for resale. The case work is conservative — exactly what buyers want. Pricing is fair for the quality and the turnaround is reliable enough that I can plan around it. Would be five stars if they were open on Sundays."
April 2025 · Case & Bracelet Refinishing
Three pieces. Three different challenges.
Challenge
A 1954 Swiss pocket watch inherited from a client's great-uncle. The movement had not run in approximately thirty years. A winding crown repair had been attempted previously — poorly — leaving stripped threads in the tube. No parts were available from conventional suppliers.
Solution
After a two-week evaluation, Tockwise fabricated a replacement crown tube in-house to the original diameter. The movement received a full disassembly, ultrasonic clean, and regulation. The dial was lightly cleaned without disturbing the original luminous plots.
Outcome
The watch returned to full function. Timing: +5 seconds per day in multiple positions. Stage photography provided a complete record. Total time from intake to return: six weeks.
"I had been told by two other workshops that this piece couldn't be fixed without sourcing parts they couldn't find. Tockwise made the part. Remarkable."
Challenge
A modern Swiss automatic with a 72-hour power reserve claim that had deteriorated to roughly 28 hours. The owner had purchased it pre-owned and suspected the last service may have been inadequate. The watch ran, but inconsistently — losing about 15 seconds a day.
Solution
Full disassembly revealed old, congealed lubricant throughout the gear train and keyless works. The mainspring showed wear consistent with a service interval well beyond the recommended five years. The complete service included new lubricants and a replacement mainspring.
Outcome
Power reserve restored to 68 hours under typical wear conditions. Timing: +2 seconds per day across six positions. Returned in 16 days from intake.
"The condition report showed me exactly what the previous owner's 'service' had missed. Now I have a baseline I can actually trust."
Challenge
A stainless steel sports watch with a mixed brushed-and-polished case, acquired with significant scratching across both surfaces. The owner planned to sell it and wanted a presentable finish without losing the case geometry — a common problem with aggressive refinishing.
Solution
Selective treatment: polished surfaces were re-polished with fine abrasives to remove scratches while the brushed surfaces were re-brushed with a matching stroke direction. Bezel and caseback received individual attention. Gaskets renewed, pressure test passed.
Outcome
The watch sold privately for 15% above the owner's original estimate. The buyer specifically noted the quality of the case finish. Total time: 10 days.
"They kept the brushing direction exactly right — you can tell the difference from a generic polish job instantly. Worth every baht."
